Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a competent accounting clerk & payroll technician willing to join our dynamic team.
The position requires being responsible of bookkeeping files, prepare payroll, preparing government remittances, assisting with annual financial statements, preparing tax slips and personal tax returns.
**Tasks and responsibilities**
- Bookkeeping for small businesses (receivables, payables, payroll, journal entries)
- Prepare payroll, including DAS
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare GST/QST remittances
- Filing of tax slips (T5/RL3, RL31, etc.)
- Personal income tax returns
- Client communications
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary, college or university accounting degree
- 2 years’ relevant experience in accounting
- Good knowledge of DAS and GST/QST rules
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in both English and French
- Good knowledge of MS Office and experience with bookkeeping software (AccountEdge, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills while demonstrating initiative and autonomy
- Team player and maintains good interpersonal relationships
