**Position Summary**

The General Helper is responsible for supporting production and shipping team.

**Work Schedule: Afternoon Shift**

Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm

**Reports To**:Shift Supervisorey

**Responsibilities**:

- **Material Handling**: Moving materials, tools, or equipment manually or with powered equipment. Stage materials processed at one machine center to the next one.
- **Cleaning and Organization**: Maintaining work areas and equipment in a clean and organized state. Operating a floor scrubber daily to maintain clean shopfloor environment.
- **Assisting Other Workers**: Providing support to machine operators, receiver, or other personnel. Get tools, materials, inks ready for machine operators. Ensure flow of products from printing presses to shipping. Print tickets for digital pressroom operators.
- **Other Duties**: Performing various other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**

Required Education
- High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education
- Technical Certification or Associate’s degree in printing processes.

Preferred Experience
- Five years previous flexographic printing experience.

Computer Skills
- Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Vision (near, distance, peripheral, depth perception)
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, or shields, and cut-resistant gloves.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines/equipment.
