- **Overview of Position**:_

We are looking for a full-time Lead hand/Site Foreman with experience the installation of prefabricated steel buildings.

The Site Foreman provides leadership and is responsible for, although not limited to coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the safety, proper apprentice training and productivity of crews at the worksite who install/assemble components of industrial products and structures. The Site Foreman is the field level management and has a further role as a field coordinator and client interface. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety,” and promote Wiebe’s Steel Structures core values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. Travel is a requirement for the job, hours may include shifts of 10-12 hours a day with rotating shifts of up to 21 days and 7 to 10 days off.
- **Key Responsibilities**_:
Report to the Site Supervisor

Assist in quality control

Review building packing slips for correct quantity and type of building components, load and unload construction materials to work areas

Assembling steel components of building structure

Knowledge of column placement in reference to blueprints

Reading blueprints

Conduct on site meetings to ensure project plans & schedule are followed.

Conduct safety meetings on site and enforce safety policies, and all ministry guidelines in order to maintain a safe working environment for all workers on your job site.

Communicate with Wiebe’s Steel Structures office and site supervisor regarding jobsite requirements to maintain productivity and quality

Ensure all workers receive the proper training, support job training for apprentices, and facilitate mentoring.

Motivate all team players for project to co-ordinate deliveries and employees in order to maximize project production.

- **Work conditions**:_

Travel to and from worksites, ability to lift 75+ lbs, ability to carry 50+ lbs, walking, standing, working heights, working outdoors, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, construction sites, noise, irregular hours.

Travel to work sites across southern Manitoba and possibly to into Alberta

- **Salary**:_ Starting at $25.00/hr depending on experience

10 hour shift or 12 hour shift

Day shift
- **Supplemental pay types**:_

Out of Town (OTE)

5 on/2 off or 10 on/4 off - premium $2.00/hr

15 on/6 off or 21 on/7 off - premium $4.00/hr

**This position requires travel to southern Manitoba 100% of the time and may require travel to southern Alberta, are you willing to travel?**
- **Experience**:_

Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)

Construction: 10 years (preferred)

foreman: 3 years (preferred)
- **License/Certification**_:
Class 5 License with clean driver’s abstract
- **Willingness to travel**:_

Local, Ontario, Alberta
- **Work Location**_: Morden, Winkler & Winnipeg area(Local and Travel)
