**We’re establishing a brand-new region in the National Capital Region and are seeking a dynamic Regional Director to lead its development and operations. While the position requires a Secret clearance, applicants must be eligible for Top Secret clearance to support oversight of select high-security projects.**

Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations - Business Management, the Regional Director is accountable for the overall leadership and management of the region. This includes overseeing all aspects of operations, service delivery, human resources management, financial performance, leadership, corporate governance, and stakeholder relationships in the region.

**KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES**

**Strategic and Business Planning**
- Participate in national strategic and business planning activities providing unique regional operational perspective with a focus on current and emerging issues, practices and priorities.
- Develop strategy and provide direction for business development for the region including integration with local sites and national priorities and programs.
- Prepare, implement and manage the region’s business plan and budget.
- Promote and provide support to corporate initiatives.
- Ensure regional activities achieve corporate and business performance indicators.

**Risk Management**
- Identify and manage risks within the region
- Comply with the corporate risk management framework.

**Financial Management**
- Meet regional financial targets
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial management policies, systems, practices, certification, and audit requirements.

**Leadership and Organizational Management**
- Provide oversight and review complex issues (operational, financial, human resources) working directly with senior and executive management team members.
- Lead, direct and supervise the regional leadership team.
- Lead all aspects of human resources management within the region coach, supervise, mentor, plan and, manage performance.
- Implement efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop succession plans and ensure viability of the region.
- Provide regional leadership to implement corporate objectives such as Diversity and Inclusion, workplace wellness and mental health.
- Act as leader in the areas of individual, professional and corporate ethics, promoting DCC’s image and values, and creating a work environment that fosters quality, creativity, open communication, respect and innovation.

**Relationship Management**
- Develop strategy and provide direction for Client-Partner relationship management for the region with a focus on the most complex and high-risk issues.
- Monitor and take appropriate action in response to problems related to contracts and contractor performance.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Senior Management Members to integrate and optimize services.

**Operational Accountabilities**
- May also serve in a leadership role to support corporate priorities such as service lines, initiatives, committees and working groups.
- Manage the delivery of services to the Client-Partner including quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness of service delivery in the region.
- Accountable for client satisfaction.
- Research, analyze and adjust service delivery to continuously improve and optimize regional service.

**SKILLS**

**General and Specific Knowledge**
- Best practices, methods, trends, and legislation in construction, engineering, architecture, or environmental services.
- Best practices and trends in strategic planning, financial, and human resources management.

**Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience**
- ** Minimum**:university degree in engineering, architecture, environmental studies and/or business administration or related field, with over ten years in construction, environmental services, project management and/or contract management for complex infrastructure projects, over five years in a management/leadership role, or equivalent
- ** Preferred**:professional designation or accreditation in a related field

**Abilities**
- Ability to communicate effectively in both official languages is considered an asset.
- Exercise leadership and influence decision making in a matrix environment.
- Be innovative and risk-tolerant in the context of knowledge-based decision-making and principles-based service delivery.
