Port Coquitlam, Canada Hybrid Access Inc Full time

**About the job**

**Operations Manager** - **Industrial** Field Operations

Hybrid Access Inc. | British Columbia

We are not looking for someone to “support operations” or shuffle schedules.

We are hiring an Operations Manager to own field execution end-to-end and build systems that remove chaos, firefighting, and executive involvement from day-to-day operations.

If you need close supervision, avoid accountability, or rely on heroics instead of systems, this is not for you.

**The Mission**:
Own field operations so all work is scheduled, staffed, equipped, and executed safely and on time, increasing gross margins, without the CEO or Rescue Manager touching daily dispatch or problem-solving.

**What Success Looks Like**

Within 12 months, you will be accountable for:

- ≤ 3% of jobs experiencing ops-caused rework, delays over 24 hours, or execution failures
- ≥ 95% planning discipline across planned, urgent, and emergency work
- 45-48% sustained gross margins with ≥5% reduction in avoidable margin leakage
- Full independence of field scheduling and coordination within 60 days

Your First 60 Days (Non-Negotiable)

You will design and implement a live Operations Control System that:

- Becomes the single source of truth for scheduling
- Standardises job intake, mobilisation, and staffing
- Handles daily dispatch without involvement from the CEO or Rescue Manager

**What You Will Own**
- Field scheduling and staffing
- Crew and equipment readiness
- Job execution quality
- Planning discipline across planned, urgent, and emergency work
- Operational systems, SOPs, and cadence

You will not be responsible for selling work. However, maintaining client relationships is a must.

You will be responsible for executing Operations profitably and reliably.

**Who This Role Is For**
- An industrial Operations Manager from construction, maintenance, shutdowns, utilities, or similar environments
- Someone who has built operational systems, not taken them on from the previous person in that role
- A leader comfortable managing skilled trades without being the technical expert
- A problem solver who can operate with little to no direction

Ownership, structure, and systems thinking is required. Experience in rope access or confined space work is not but would be an advantage.

**Who This Role Is Not For**
- Coordinators
- Safety administrators
- People who rely on heroics
- Anyone uncomfortable being held to clear, measurable outcomes

**Why This Role Exists**

Hybrid Access is growing. We refuse to scale chaos.

This role has:

- Real authority
- Clear expectations
- Executive support
- Zero tolerance for mediocrity

If that excites you, apply.

Screening questions are required to advance to the phone interview stage. _**Any screening questions answered using AI will be immediately rejected.**_

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Extended health care
- On-site parking
- Paid time off

Application question(s):

- Describe an operational system you personally built. What problem did it solve?
- Tell us about a job that went sideways due to operations. What did you own, and how did you fix it?
- What operational metrics were you accountable for in your last role?
- What is the hardest operational decision you’ve made that upset people?
