Plant Operations Manager

**Responsibilities**:
- Administer the day-to-day activities of plant personnel
- Coordinate operations to meet sales and planning objectives
- Manage production based on sales forecasts, plant capacity, and material availability
- Hire, develop, coach, motivate, provide feedback and performance manage operations team
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment
- Manage disciplinary actions, enforcing company policy, conflict resolution, performance evaluation
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics - including warehousing and 3PL
- Measure, control, and continuously improve efficiency
- Measure, control, and continuously improve wastage concerns: ingredients, packaging materials, WIP, and finished products
- Provide direction, set performance objectives and generate performance reports
- Collaborate and develop effective relationships with internal departments to support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, strategies, plans, objectives, and new product development
- Ensure that all plant operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
- Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are met or exceeded
- Work with QA/QC to cultivate a Continuous Quality Improvement mentality on the production floor to yield better processes, to make every production employee a quality conscious employee
- Develop processes and production Standard Operating Procedures
- Collaborate with finance to create and execute a capital budget to ensure that financial allocations and obligations are set, administered, and met.
- Ensure that equipment is properly safeguarded against safety hazards and maintained regularly for smooth machine operation
**Requirements**:
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated ability to lead all areas of fast paced food manufacturing plant
- Further education and/or training in manufacturing or food production would be beneficial
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and the CFIA
- Ability to effectively use ERP systems
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong teamwork/team building/motivation skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
