We are seeking a collaborative and resourceful Assistant Vice President (AVP) of IT Financial Management to join and be part of our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of and optimizing the financial management activities within the IT department proficiently. As the AVP of IT Financial Management, you will collaborate with key partners to craft and implement financial strategies, ensure efficient budgeting and forecasting, and drive cost optimization initiatives. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Program Governance & Analytics.

What you’ll do
- Build and implement financial management strategies and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with IT leaders to craft and manage the IT department's annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and financial targets.
- Monitor and track IT financial performance against budgeted targets, identifying and addressing variances, and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Conduct financial analysis, including cost benefit analysis, return on investment calculations, and business case development, to support prioritization decisions
- Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to manage IT vendor contracts, coordinate favorable terms, and ensure compliance with financial controls and governance.
- Implement and maintain financial management systems and processes, including expense tracking, cost allocation methodologies, and financial reporting frameworks.
- Collaborative with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including financial documents, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT financial management, with professional development, particularly as it pertains to the support of persistently funded teams in an Agile Environment
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures, and support internal and external audits as required efficiently.

What you’ll bring
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
- Proven experience in IT financial management, with a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost optimization.
- Outstanding and in-depth knowledge of financial management best practices and industry standards.
- Experience in financial management within the IT industry or a technology-driven organization is highly desirable.
- Strong financial competence with the ability to analyze sophisticated financial data, interpret trends, and provide concrete insights and recommendations.
- Excellent leadership skills, including mentoring and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and tools, with the ability to leverage technology to enhance financial processes and reporting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with partners at all levels
- Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with financial regulations, compliance, and governance is preferred.
