Mowi Canada West is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Operations Manager to join our team in the Quatsino Production Area. This full-time, permanent position plays a key leadership role in managing Saltwater Operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safe work practices across all Operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety management systems for area vessels and facilities.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills utilizing tools such as Microsoft Projects to execute multiple overlapping projects.
- Manage area capital projects, and oversee area operating and capital budgets, ensuring detailed and precise financial reporting.
- Ensure operational goals and key performance indicators are achieved.
- Manage site builds/teardown, including nets, rigging, farm setup, and contractor management.
- Oversee harvest support, including team preparation for grading and seining.
- Coordinate diving operations and net-washing scheduling.
- Oversee area logistics including feed transportation, resource allocation and people transportation.
- Manage area maintenance via digital tracking/tickets.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of workboat maintenance.
- Oversee employee management, including time management, time off, hiring processes and the delivery of training and succession plans.
- Establish positive working relationships through employee and department engagement and promote collaboration through positive communication.

**Qualifications**:

- 8-10 years of aquaculture site management or operational experience.
- Strong understanding of circle pen infrastructure including rigging and mooring.
- Proven critical-thinking and decision-making expertise to deliver operational excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $90,000-$106,000
