Upper Canada Child Care is looking for passionate and committed **Registered Early Childhood Educators or Equivalent (Child and Youth Worker or OCT Member) & Assistant Educators** to join our Team located in **Barrie**at the following locations**:Willow Landing ES, Assikinack PS, Hyde Park PS & Warnica PS.**

**Starting Pay**:
**RECE or Equivalent: $25.06 - $28.64/hour** plus Wage Enhancement Grant **($2.00/hr),** Canada Wide Early Learning & Child Care **(up to $1.00/hr for RECEs where applicable),**Split Shift Premium **($2.00/hr for split shift positions),**Team Lead Premium Pay **(for Team Lead position only).**

**Assistant $19.61 - $22.41/**hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant **($2.00/hr)**and Split Shift Premium **($2.00/hr).**

**QUALITIFCATIONS**
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized college or university (for ECE position).
- A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- At least 18 years of age or older due to licensing requirements.
- Health assessment and up-to-date record of immunization as outlined by legislation.
- Up-to-date registration with the College of ECEs (if applicable).
- Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).
- Experience with inquiry/play based program design and implementation, and with the use of pedagogical documentation.
- Uses initiative; applies sound reason in solving problems and resolves conflict in a calm, professional manner.
- Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, coworkers and other professionals.
- Have the physical and emotional stamina to effectively supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
- Ability to use computer systems and programs; including Dayforce, and Storypark.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Engages with the children and provides a positive learning experience. Provides a range of care including assisting with meals/snacks, toileting, diapering, dressing, etc.
- Participates in professional development opportunities, staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Completes program charts, daily logs, reports, and other administration tasks as required.
- Fosters the engagement of and ongoing communication with parents about the program and their children. Attends parent and community meetings as needed.
- Uses Storypark for pedagogical documentation as a guide for program development.
- Effectively collaborates and communicates with other team members, school personnel, and outside agencies to help support the needs of all children.
- Identifies children in need of additional support. Guides parents through the process of accessing resources. Helps design and implement individual support plans as required.
