Machinist/fabricator/machine Builder

ProDesign Automation, a leader in creating bespoke automation solutions in diverse industries, is seeking a skilled Machinist/Fabricator/Machine Builder to join our dynamic team in Brampton, Ontario. As a pivotal part of our production process, you will be instrumental in machining/fabricating components, welding, and assembling for our innovative custom machines and automated equipment.
**Hard Requirement**
**Responsibilities**:
- Interpret engineering drawings and fabricate parts using conventional milling machines, lathes, bandsaws, and other standard shop equipment.
- General machine assembly, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and standards.
- Proficient welding (MIG and TIG) primarily with low carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Routine maintenance and upkeep of shop and facility equipment.
- Operate forklift safely for material handling within the facility and for loading/unloading
- Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong hands-on experience fabricating parts with milling machines, lathes, and other fabrication tools.
- Proven experience in machine assembly and fabrication in an industrial setting.
- Strong skills in MIG and TIG welding, with a focus on low carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Experience using forklift
