**Lands and Resources Coordinator**

Position Status: Full-time Term (6-Month - with possibility of extension)

**M’Chigeeng First Nation is seeking a knowledgeable individual** **who understands Anishnabek lands and First Nations status rights;** **prides him/herself as a quick learner, is reliable and can work independently.** **If you are confident and have these qualities along with great** **organizational and communication skills** **then you may be a great fit for this position.**

**Position Summary**
Reports to the Office Administrator; works independently for the overall management of Reserve Lands & Environment Management Program (RLEMP) for the M’Chigeeng First Nation; maintains relationships and open communications with the organization and membership; and maintains strict confidentiality of community lands records information. Preforms duties relating to the Management of Lands required by Chief & Council. All work performed will be in accordance to applicable MFN Codes, Lands Management Manual, Personnel Policy and other laws pertinent lands management.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

**Minimum**
- Diploma in Administration, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Indigenous Studies or related field of study with 2-years related work experience.
- Ability to prepare narrative and statistical reports.
- Knowledge of history, culture, and customs of the Anishnabek and fluency in Anishinabemowin is a strong asset.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours; have a Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract.

**CRC/VSS Rationale**: M’Chigeeng First Nation and its agents are in a position of trust in services to band member children and/or vulnerable adults, so a safe and secure working environment is mandatory. Applicants must provide a clear VSS Certificate and the CRC must have a record clear and/or dated of any convictions relating to alcohol, drugs, assault, violence and theft. The CRC and VSS must be current (30 days) and must be an Original.
