**Overview**

The Dispatch Coordinator plays a key role in keeping drivers moving, maintaining service levels, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for company drivers and owner-operators
- Book freight with brokers and customers and assign loads to available equipment
- Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery deadlines
- Communicate with drivers regularly regarding load details, ETAs, delays, and instructions
- Schedule and confirm pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers
- Track shipments using dispatch systems, spreadsheets, or transportation management tools
- Provide timely updates to customers and internal teams as needed
- Coordinate special requirements such as tarping, securement, escorts, or after-hours delivery
- Maintain accurate records of loads, freight details, and delivery documentation
- Collect PODs and ensure paperwork is completed and submitted on time
- Assist in troubleshooting dispatch or delivery issues to minimize service disruptions
- Work closely with the Dispatch & Operations Manager to improve truck utilization and efficiency
- Ensure dispatch activities comply with company policies and safety standards

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Previous experience in trucking dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation operations preferred
- Strong understanding of freight movement, shipping & receiving, and dispatch workflows
- Comfortable working with drivers, brokers, and customers on a daily basis
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette and clear written follow-up
- Good data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, dispatch software, or similar tools is an asset
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle time-sensitive issues calmly

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
