**Operations Manager - Frontline Traffic Services**
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education is required, preferably in Business or Management.
- Proven success effectively managing a team of 50+ individuals.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Highly organized & process driven.
- Strong aptitude for technology.
- Working knowledge of Nova Scotia Labour Standards Code.
- Able to manage teams working at several different locations.
- Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment & making decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to address issues promptly.
- Experience working in an industrial setting is considered an asset.
**Responsibilities**
- Onboard new employees to the company.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee issues.
- Maintain records of company assets in employee possession.
- Collect and file paperwork and documentation related to employee terminations.
- Monitor attendance tracking and address attendance issues as required.
- Manage a fleet of vehicles and trailers; ensure inspections and routine maintenance/repairs are being completed.
- Ensure all vehicles have appropriate documentation in the vehicle, with copies stored in office.
- Monitor GPS & dash cam footage regularly, reporting any issues or concerns to the team.
- Complete driver training program and driving tests for insurance purposes.
- Inventory management and procuring equipment to meet customer demands, includes sourcing rentals as needed.
- Tracking rented equipment, vehicles, and company fleet.
- Prepare and submit weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports.
- Collaborate with management to hold weekly operations meetings.
- Collaborate with OHS department on all WCB claims.
- Develop a strong understanding of the industry & foster strong relationships with clients.
- Inspect site quality and performance regularly.
- Maintain a professional image, fair and friendly to all employees and clients.
- Coach and encourage field supervisors regularly.
- Collaborate with management team to ensure schedule expectations are being met.
- Ensure expectations of direct reports are being met.
- Maintain usual office hours of 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday, being available by phone for after-hours emergencies as needed.
