**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare residential and commercial real estate files from opening to closing
- Process purchase transactions, prepare mortgages, refinancing and supplemental documents, prepare interiM/Final reports to parties
- Prepare statement of adjustments, report to mortgagee and purchaser in a timely manner
- Prepare sale transactions, trust letters, deposit funds to meet closing date
- Maintain client files and diarize critical deadlines, prepare client accounts and correspondence
- Utilize conveyancing software to process correspondence related to real estate files
- Liaise with realtors, financial institutions, clients and other law firms regarding all aspects of real estate transactions
- Build and maintain positive relations with clients, bankers, realtors and other parties integral to the completion of the transactions

- Possesses a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with the commitment of being a team player that can work independently with mínimal supervision
- Positive work ethic and attitude and the ability to exercise independent judgment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Advanced computer skills (ie. Microsoft Office, Outlook and document management systems)
- Maintains professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently

**Education/Experience Required**:

- Post-secondary diploma or certificate from an accredited paralegal/legal assistant program (successful career history will be considered)
