Leasing Manager, Retail

**_Role Impact:_**
Developing as a client relationship leader, this role provokes, creates and assembles opportunities for the properties and portfolio by sourcing and securing new clients and working with existing tenants to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements. This role collaborates with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition through each of the client touch points.
**_What you will deliver: _**
- Provides recommendations to the Leasing Director on the creation of the leasing strategy
- Provides recommendations to the Leasing Director on the development of well formulated strategic leasing plans for assigned assets that are aligned to the strategic approach for national clients.
- Identify, source and secure new local, regional and national clients, and work with existing clients to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements.
- Negotiate deal terms with local and regional clients and follow up on the execution of final documentation.
- Execute client service standards by following CF’s values to ensure a smooth transition from the offer to lease through build-out of leasehold improvements, and move in as well as store opening.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients. Actively seek, listen and respond to client feedback to ensure alignment of their needs to our goals. Respond in a timely fashion.
- Participate in the execution of the strategic leasing plans, and budget, ensuring plans are adjusted to meet broad commitments and long term direction.
- Implement the client brand strategy in order to ensure a consistent approach nationally.
- Collaborate and consult internally to build effective relationships.
- Proactively enhance Cadillac Fairview’s image externally through industry events such as Internal Council of Shopping Centers, Building Owners and Managers Association, Real Estate Forums, etc.
- Participate in the execution of the leasing team objectives, ensuring a merchandising mix that fits within each property and is nationally consistent.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s delegated authorities policy and completion of appropriate business cases in a timely manner.
- Under the direction of the Leasing Director, manage and execute the budget for each asset to ensure alignment with the 3 year plan with monthly reporting of revenue.
- Participate in special assignments at a local level.
- Assist in updates of the monthly trackers, CTM’s (actively participate), and any other reporting as required for the management of leasing tracking and productivity.

- Previous experience with a client focused approach to leasing
- Solid written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to deliver effective presentations
- Solid financial and business acumen
- Aptitude for identifying, assessing and managing both risks and opportunities
- Basic skills in interpreting financial data, lease documents and market research
- Ability to collaborate, consult and build strong internal relationships within a national organization
- Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and to embrace change
**_What you need to succeed:_**
- Post secondary education in a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in commercial real estate and lease management
- Understanding of commercial leasing, merchandising, and client needs
- Proficient computer skills
