Vehicle Leasing Manager

HTEC is a leading organization in the clean energy sector. For the last several years, we have been focused on the transition to hydrogen fueled transportation infrastructure, specifically on solutions to supply hydrogen to both new retail fuel markets, and existing wholesale markets.

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to add a Manager, HTEC Vehicle Leasing Corp. who will help us develop a new HTEC subsidiary, to lease hydrogen fueled vehicles to fleet operators in targeted regions. This position will report to the VP, Transportation Solutions.

As a dynamic and self-driven individual, you will translate your past experiences into success at HTEC through the development of this new vehicle leasing market.

Key Responsibilities
- Building and operating a new vehicle leasing business under a wholly owned subsidiary of HTEC: HTEC Vehicle Leasing Corp. (“HTEC VLC”)
- Acting as the key point of contact for fleet operators leasing class 6-8 hydrogen fuel cell, co-combustion, and combustion trucks
- Accountability for the daily operations of VLC including: Insurance, Federal and Provincial registrations, Vehicle maintenance (planned and unplanned), Vehicle data collection, synthesis, and reporting, and Coordination with HTEC accounting to ensure lease payments are processed in an organized and timely manner
- Coordinating with the Director, Vehicle Procurement to ensure the vehicle operational requirements align with fleet operator expectations.
- Managing costs and revenues to ensure HTEC VLC meets financial objectives.
- Contract management: working with legal, finance and other stakeholders to develop the required terms and conditions to manage HTEC risk. Proactively monitoring and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.

HTEC works across the hydrogen value chain, with HTEC VLC focused on the deployment of hydrogen fueled trucks (i.e. the load). This position will work proactively and collaboratively with our project/program managers to ensure HTEC’s hydrogen production, distribution, stations and VLC teams are aligned in meeting schedule, budget and performance.

Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the trucking sector with an emphasis on vehicle operations
- Financial accounting, vehicle leasing experience is preferred
- Post-secondary degree is preferred
- Technical knowledge and experience in the trucking sector; knowledge of zero-emission drivetrains is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong presentation skills - both verbal and written communication
- MS Project, Excel and Word proficiency for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Proven ability to plan and manage resources (internal and external)
- Adherence to project management processes
- Minimum 3 days per week in the office

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
