REGIONAL MANAGER, DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS - NW - WESTLOCK

JOB POSTING # S9-23

Major duties include but are not limited to:

- Identify training needs and opportunities and deliver or co-ordinate training initiatives when required;
- Direct the development of technical and non-technical programs;
- Deliver or arrange for the delivery of training;
- Identify issues of concern, in the community or among customers, relative to the business goals of the Company;
- Lead and monitor all operations, C&M, and technical activities within the region;
- Monitor ongoing work and determine when outside contractors or additional company resources are required.
- Ensure that schedules and cost estimates are met;
- Verify and approve contractor and supplier invoices.
- Lead Company Safety and Environmental policies within the Region;
- Ensure compliance to all statutory, company and industry standards and directives; and
- Respond or direct the response to requests for service from customers or the public, in a manner consistent with Company policy and procedures.

Qualifications include:

- Minimum of a University Degree in business, engineering, or a relevant scientific discipline;
- Completion of Supervisory Citation program or related supervisory skills development considered to be equivalent;
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant natural gas distribution experience;
- Valid Province of Alberta Class 5 driver’s license;
- Mechanical aptitude;
- Strong written and verbal communication;
- Experience working with MS Suite ( Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook etc.)
- Safety courses such as PE Fusion, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Safe Digging, Standard First Aid etc.; and
- Alberta Department of Labour Certification in an acceptable field such as Gas Fitting, Power Engineering, or Gas Utility Operator would be an asset.
