**What are we looking for?**

We are looking for a **Mill Operator** at our Westlock, Alberta location that is responsible for all corrugated pipe/culvert operations. Duties will be fulfilled as assigned by the Plant Supervisor in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures a safe work environment by following and ensuring others are also following safe work practices
- Follow the appropriate procedure for setting up the spiral mill in accordance with the product being run.
- Locate and load appropriate coils of steel onto the mill. May require the use of forklift.
- Changing roll dies as required
- Inspect all profiles, lock seams, and pipe diameters after every set up, as well as the coil thickness and width of each coil.
- Documentation, including length of coil used at the beginning and end of each run, quality inspection and daily production report.
- Contributes to continuous improvement in production through the development, implementation, and support for new processes and technology.
- Other related duties/tasks as may be required.
- Assist with trouble shooting and problem-solving mechanical problems on the mill
- Follow AIL's Quality Management System

**Qualifications**:

- Manufacturing experience
- Safety conscious, organized and self-motivated
- Must possess a certain degree of mechanical aptitude, understand cause and effect, be familiar with and have experience using standard mechanics tools. i.e. wrenches, screw drivers, plyers, side cutters, air tools,
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Computer literacy and ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications a definite asset.
- Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills related to equipment and processes.
- Appropriate sense of urgency and ability to work safely under pressure as required in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to Weld.
