**Job Type**: Full-time, Monday to Friday
**Compensation**: Starting at $70,000 - $75,000 + Benefits
**About Fasteel**:
We are a Steel Service Center founded in 1979 that supplies products to manufacturers, fabricators and a variety of other industries. Over the last 8 years we have experienced substantial growth and are looking to add to our team.
**About the Role**:
Due to ongoing growth we are looking to create a new role that will be given the opportunity to build new business processes with the leadership team, leveraging capabilities of a modern, truly cloud-based ERP.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing inventory, managing inventory levels and pricing, vendor relationships, and logistics coordination within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). This is a hands-on, office-based position where your ability to manage data, optimize supply chain processes, and collaborate across departments will be critical to our success.
We are looking for someone that is tech-savy, and isn’t afraid to get their “hands dirty”. Fasteel has made significant investments in technology, and a big part of this role will revolve around learning the full capabilities of Dynamics Business Central and maximizing efficiency from the system.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Management**
- Work with management and the sales team to set and maintain min/max inventory levels by SKU at 2 locations.
- Evaluate and determine the optimal mix of offshore vs. domestic materials for specific product groups.
- Set up and maintain new item records in Business Central.
- Manage and update replacement cost pricing in ERP system
- Manage our MTR (Mill Test Reports) portal to ensure inventory traceability
**Purchasing**
- Monitor inventory daily using ERP and determine order requirements.
- Enter and manage Blanket Purchase Orders (POs) for major domestic vendors.
- Enter and manage actual POs for offshore and smaller vendors.
- Release materials from Blanket POs as needed.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with the shop floor.
- Arrange freight for incoming loads as required.
- Schedule and track incoming shipments.
- Review mill stock availability and lead times to support sales staff.
- Analyze vendor pricing to ensure competitiveness in the market.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with purchasing is an asset, but not required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and PowerBI is an asset.
**What We Offer**:
- Competitive starting salary of $70,000 - $75,000/year depending on skill set
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Monday to Friday work schedule (office-based)
- Opportunities for growth and development within a dynamic team environment
We will be assessing applicants over the next 2-3 weeks with interviews starting in July. The expected start date is flexible although we would like to have someone in place by the end of summer.
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
**Benefits**:
- Dental care
- Extended health care
- On-site parking
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
