**Job summary**:
Reporting to the Clinical Lead, Autism Services, this Psychologist position will be located out of our Markham office. Job duties will include completing psychological assessments, supervision of psychometrists, treatment of clients and family members with psychotherapeutic interventions, and opportunities to join in other program initiatives, including ABA consultations, Autism/Mental Health and critical/ urgent response services. This role may also expand to collaborative work with the larger Kinark Child and Youth Mental Health Agency.

Kinark has introduced a benefit that gives employees in eligible roles the opportunity to work partially or fully remote if they choose to opt-in for this benefit. **This role (Psychologist) is assessed as a Resident position requiring a few days in the office (4 days per week) unless business demands require. This position is also eligible for compressed work week.**

You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day. You will be required to work out of other Kinark sites from time to time based on operational needs. As well, you may be assigned to work in different programs and services within the Autism division of Kinark and your primary work location may be reassigned within a 50 kilometer radius based on operational needs.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Psychological Assessment: Evaluate intellectual, social, emotional, behavior, academic, personality, and daily living functioning for the purpose of diagnostic and treatment planning. This includes ongoing learning to maintain professional standards and current knowledge (for example: research, diagnostic tools, etc.). Key responsibilities include: Administration of psychological tests and questionnaires, clinical interviewing, data analysis and interpretation, report writing, feedback and communicating diagnoses.
- Consultation: Provide consultation for complex cases, treatment planning & service delivery, ethical issues, etc. in internal and/or external clinical and multidisciplinary meetings. This also includes decisions around suitability for services and tailoring treatment plans to meet client’s unique needs and troubleshooting clinical issues that arise.
- Treatment: Deliver evidence-based treatment for complex clients (individual, group and/or parents), formulation and goal setting, documentation, progress monitoring, and discharge planning. This also includes professional development, workshops, independent reading, and peer consultation.
- Administration: Attending agency meetings/trainings, internal communication, scheduling client and community appointments, manage psychological files and manage documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- A Master’s degree and/or a Ph.D. in Psychology is required.
- Be registered or eligible for registration for, and a member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Strong clinical assessment skills in child and adolescent mental health. Proficiency and experience in assessment of autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD from young childhood up to 25 years of age.
- Evidence of having completed formal training and/or of having experience using the ADOS-2 with children.
- Strong written communication skills.
- An ability to be flexible and responsive in delivering services.
- Demonstrated clinical experience, proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Some travel may be necessary.
- Knowledge concerning cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages will be considered assets for this position.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening).
