**What You’ll Be Doing**:
As a Surveyor at VanPile, you’ll play a key role in supporting our marine and heavy civil construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
**Key Responsibilities**: - Survey pile locations, batter orientations, and structure elevations using GPS and total station equipment
- Draft and interpret pre-construction and as-built drawings in AutoCAD; prepare detailed reports
- Support dredging and construction activities with topographic and bathymetric data collection using singlebeam, multibeam, and LiDAR systems
- Prepare and coordinate field equipment and logistics for daily operations
- Collaborate with project teams to meet construction goals and timelines
- Uphold VanPile’s commitment to Health, Safety & Environment standards

**What You’ll Bring**: - Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in heavy civil or marine construction
- Proficiency in GPS and total station surveying
- Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is an asset)
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work safely and effectively in all weather conditions

**Assets**: - Hydrographic survey experience using singlebeam, multibeam, and LiDAR systems
- Bathymetric data processing experience using HYPACK software
- Experience with Trimble equipment
- Small boat operation experience
- Mechanical aptitude

- Competitive salary range: $70k-$90k per annum
