Vintage Hotels is currently seeking a full time Wedding Sales Manager to join our growing team

**What you'll be doing**:

- Actively seeks out business prospective and follows-up on inquiries with respect to the wedding business of the hotel.
- Prepares monthly forecasts to indicate wedding event revenues and compares actual to projected budget figures.
- Prepares a marketing plan and revenue budget for approval by the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing on an annual basis to determine business objective for the current year.
- Ensures weekly and monthly marketing and business reports are completed with respect to revenues and sales efforts.
- Through sales contacts, maintains an active list of clients and identifies and follows-up on new potential business clients.
- Performs the post catering review of the function to ensure that all food and facilities were to the client’s satisfaction and that any errors and/or omissions are corrected.
- Prepares, develops and maintains an up-to-date portfolio of catering function and records of meetings held and the final outcome.
- Attends trade shows and conferences to keep aware of changes in the industry.
- Meeting established up-selling and sales goals.
- Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services.
- Suggesting additional product and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences.
- Assessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services.
- Actively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needs.
- Weekend work required.
- Travel to out of town properties required on a regular basis.
- All other duties as assigned.

**What you'll bring to the team**:

- Minimum 3 years sales-related experience in the hotel or tourism industry.
- Proven ability to negotiate in a diplomatic, tactful and professional manner.
- Experienced in prospecting through needs assessment, probing, overcoming objections and closing techniques.
- Knowledgeable of catering (on-site/off-site) and conference group event planning.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of the Niagara Region.
- Proficient in currency conversion specifically with Canadian to U.S. currencies an asset.

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
