Position Overview:
Build and power a better world by connecting the largest Cat® dealer to audiences around the globe as part of the Finning Canada Marketing team (as an Independent Contractor). Engage audiences across a wide mix of cutting-edge products, services and technologies under multiple brands.

As a member of the Finning Canada Marketing team, you are equal parts strategist, communicator and analyst; and as the Social Media Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in audience engagement and lead generation across an enterprise-level, multi-channel social media program.

You will assist in enhancing the strategy and positioning across all channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube while constantly keeping a pulse on the latest social media trends, technologies and platforms. Working with the Social Media Specialist, you are an internal SME for all things social, helping to educate and inform internal employees, partners and stakeholders on how to best leverage social media to expand the Finning reach.

- Help oversee Finning Canada’s social media channels
- Contribute to management of relationships with stakeholders and influencers

Social Media Operations
- Support the Social Media Specialist to help scale the operations and impact of social media accounts across all platforms and brands
- Participate in the collaborative process with internal stakeholders to curate stories and experiences across all brands
- Create curated multimedia content, assist with writing, and publish aligning with annual content calendar
- Maintain brand voice and visual standards throughout the creation of content to ensure consistency
- Produce and edit content for other Finning regional properties as required
- Ensure processes are established and followed for the content calendar to gather internal approvals as required
- Engage with and manage, if necessary, any comments or questions that are left by our audience
- Look for opportunities for social listening, identifying and responding to social conversations where there is a natural brand tie-in
- Proactive engagement for branch, corporate and industry events, review events calendar, and collaborate with Content Lead to capture assets
- Create social media plans for priority events, ensuring engagement pre, during, and post event
- Support the Social Media Specialist on tracking the impact of all social media efforts, demonstrating the efficacy of our function and feeding into the overall Social Media Analytics dashboard
- Work with internal Analytics team to regularly monitor and analyze social media performance and use data-driven approach for continual optimization

Social Media Management
- Responsible for execution of channel strategy aligning to brand and business objectives
- Contribute to management of data-driven engagement goals
- Assist in development and management of social media calendar
- Act as the social gatekeeper for the Finning brand and voice on all channels
- Partner with Customer Experience to manage brand reputation
- Collaborate with regional social media counterparts to align global projects, share best practices, successes and learnings
- Collaborate with Paid Advertising Specialist to review paid program performance and action insights

Education & Experience:

- Min of 2 years previous experience in social media/community management, with agency experience an asset
- Experience with multiple B2B or B2C social media channels
- Proven ability to create compelling branded content
- Certification in Hootsuite, HubSpot or other social media and content programs
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and basic video editing software would be an asset
- Diploma or degree in Business, Communications or other relevant discipline

- Skilled in the use of social media management and analytics tools including Hootsuite

- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong marketing instinct and creative energy
- Detail-oriented and passionate about your contributions
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
