The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for acting as a key member of the West Edmonton Mall (WEM) Social Media Team through digital content development and social media community engagement in order to increase digital presence.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Acting as a member of the Social Media Team by monitoring and attending to comments, concerns, and customer queries on WEM social media channels and CRM platforms.
- Leading and developing frontline digital communications for WEM CRM platforms to maintain and support a unified brand voice across social media channels.
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content for both social media and traditional marketing channels.
- Working alongside the Social Media Team Lead to develop new content for social media updates, campaigns and programs.
- Monitoring the social media calendar to support a punctual real-time posting schedule across social media channels.
- Maintaining awareness of current communication trends and practices while looking for new ways to grow and enhance WEM’s digital presence.
- Attending WEM events and producing live social media content.
- Assisting with monitoring the WEM Social Media Team.
- Assisting with compiling social monitoring reports and documentation as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience with social media marketing and management.
- Degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline is an asset.
- A high level of knowledge and comfort utilizing various social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and more.
- Strong knowledge of navigating social media platforms such as Hootsuite, Asana, Kipsu, Canva, Later and more.
- Experience with digital photography, video production, and photo editing software is an asset.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in an ever-evolving, fast paced environment complemented by the capacity to respond effectively under pressure.
- Strong customer service and written communications skills.
- Self-motivated and resourceful to problem solve when dealing with guest inquiries and general communication**.**

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a full-time, on-site position that requires flexible availability including days, evenings and weekends.
- This position qualifies for the 4-day workweek program.
- This is a salaried position that depends on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
