**What to Expect**
Tesla Toronto Automation builds advanced automation systems that power Tesla’s manufacturing operations worldwide. The Inventory Control Technician plays a critical role in supporting production efficiency by ensuring all materials and components are accurately kitted, tracked, and delivered to the right place at the right time. This position requires attention to detail, strong organization, and a passion for maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-1:00 AM, Friday 2:30 PM-11:00 PM. Afternoon shift offers a 10% shift differential.
**What You'll Do**
- Receive, verify, inspect, count, and issue into ERP and projects, place parts into the warehouse according to procedures, as well as collect, verify, pack, load kitted parts according to kitting request procedures
- Load and unload parts onto or from carts/pallets/racks, for movement or storage, by hand or using powered lifting equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed ERP entries, records, and logs
- Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts
- During business hours, respond to calls and inquiries concerning materials received and dispatched, kitting requests, ERP transactions, and other related matters
- Adhering to strict 5S standards and proper safety practices in all work areas, and maintain close adherence to safety standards (e.g., PPE, proper conveyance equipment etiquette, etc.)
- Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the business
**What You'll Bring**
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing inventory environment with strong understanding of material flow and warehouse organization
- Proficient in ERP or MRP systems with advanced data accuracy; experience with ECI’s M1 ERP preferred
- Skilled in operating stand-up reach trucks, with additional experience using counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP data entry with excellent attention to detail
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for most of the shift, and safely handle materials and equipment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills across all levels of the organization
- Reliable attendance, flexibility for overtime or other duties, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Tesla environment
