Reporting to the Accounting Manager, Ideal Roofing is looking to recruit a **Bilingual Accounts Payable Clerk-Full time (40 hour per week)**. We offer competitive wages and great benefits, plus some extra benefits like paid time off during the plant closure between Christmas and New Year

This position is responsible for completing all payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

**Primary Responsibilities are**:

- Pays vendors, invoices, and purchase orders on time and in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Schedule and prepare checks to ensure timeliness of payment and to take advantage of discounts
- Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
- Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Match invoices to purchase orders and identify discrepancies
- Match packing slip with invoice based on weights and tag number and verify pricing (weight per 100). Report any discrepancies to Purchasing for confirmation of correct pricing
- Research and resolve discrepancies and errors as needed
- Call suppliers for information/queries
- Respect payment deadlines
- Produce check runs
- Compile data and monthly report of all transactions and submit to Director, Finance & Accounting

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
(May consider High School diploma with extensive experience)
- 2 - 3 years of experience in providing accounting support
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
- Knowledge of ERP system such as Epicor
- Bilingual English/French verbal and written communication skills a must
