Job Details Overview (not limited to the following):

- To maintain stock control & procedures within a computerized environment establish/revise re-order points & quantities, purchase a variety of security hardware conduct inventory audits, carry-out follow-up audits, contact suppliers & representatives control inventory content & levels & prepare relevant records & reports.

What you will do:

- Develop, implement & maintain stock control systems &establish/revise re-order points & quantities by reviewing usage, availability, cost & storage requirements.
- Purchase variety of security hardware by selecting suppliers & negotiating price & delivery date, preparing & approving purchase orders, negotiate transportation charges research purchases from alternate sources & negotiate restocking charges & claims.
- Conduct regular & spot physical checks comparing actual to recorded inventory levels investigate discrepancies & resolve or refer problems to supervisor.
- Carry out follow-up activities such as monitoring delivery dates, resolving shipping problems, reviewing credit notes, investigate order discrepancies, make price adjustments & expediate late deliveries.
- Answer inquiries on outstanding purchase orders & related requests for information then follow-up on requests as required.
- Create part numbers.
- Ensure warehouse is labelled & organized, relocate obsolete items and create space in an appropriate area of the warehouse for new product.

Qualifications/expectations:

- Grade 12
- At least two years purchasing or related experience
- Clean Driving Abstract
- Proof of Criminal Record Check
- Forklift certified
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Punctual, organized and a self-starter imperative
- Physically capable of lifting maximum weight allowance, physically fit
- Moderate typing skills, SBT fluent preferable
- Employee contract to be signed date of hire
- Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00
