**Starfish Medical **has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced** Purchasing and Logistics Manager **to join the dynamic and growing Supply Chain team in their Victoria, BC office. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing and Logistics Manager plays a critical role in optimizing supply chain processes, controlling costs, and maintaining an organized inventory system. You will bring the ability to lead and mentor a dynamic team while managing strategic procurement, logistics, and inventory to ensure the efficient operation of our projects. Skilled in developing, reporting, and creating action plans around department metrics, you have the knowledge to evaluate MRP/ERP systems and the aptitude to effectively communicate with the finance team to monitor and control expenses related to purchasing, logistics and inventory.

**As Purchasing and Logistics Manager some your work will include**:

- Devise and execute effective procurement strategies and policies in alignment with project objectives.
- Source, negotiate, and cultivate relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality materials, equipment, and services at optimal costs.
- Lead the procurement process within technical/engineering/prototype development.
- Supervise the transportation and distribution of materials, equipment, and resources across project sites.
- Optimize the logistics network to minimize lead times, decrease costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Establish and enforce inventory management policies to minimize excess inventory while ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Anticipate future inventory needs based on project schedules and historical data, leading annual inventory audits.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure team performance and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment conducive to achieving goals and objectives.
- Post-secondary degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, a related field, or the equivalent in education and experience.
- Certification in Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) or Supply Chain Procurement (PMAC) is an asset.
- 7+ years’ proven experience in a procurement, logistics and inventory management role, with 5+ years’ experience in a management level role.
- A background that highlights your knowledge of supply chain theories and principles, procurement best practices and inventory control married with your proficiency in technology to support purchasing in an engineering environment. Experience with SYSPRO an asset.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a focus on motivating and empowering team members coupled with creating a sense of accountability.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to navigate a complex and changing landscape with a lens of curiosity, critical thinking and being solutions focused.
- Strong relationship management and negotiations skills with the ability to connect with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
- Proficient in writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills.

**Exceptional Qualifications would include**:

- Experience working in a high-tech consulting environment.

**Total compensation range is expected to be**:
$73,190 - $91,488 CAD for this position. Annual variable compensation tied to the completion of goals has a target that is between 3-8% of the base salary. Employees are also eligible to earn profit sharing.
