**Job Title**:E-Commerce Merchandiser**
**Reports To: E- Commerce Manager**

The web merchandiser will play a key role in supporting Sporting Life’s eCommerce website by helping grow sales, increasing customer conversions and maximizing profitability. This will be achieved through the optimization of promotions, product merchandising, onsite search, cross-selling, and upselling across all categories. Additionally, the individual will also focus on enhancing the shopping experience through the different promotions and themes while identifying opportunities / partnerships for the valuation of products.
**Description of Job Responsibilities**:

- Merchandise the product catalog to ensure high priority items are displayed on product listing pages, maximizing sales and items per transactions.
- Merchandise product pages across the site; including the homepage, categories, landing and marketing pages to highlight themes, trends, and promotions.
- Optimize search by maintaining and enhancing site navigation paths, facets, and keyword search results.
- Liaise with catalog content team to ensure information is accurate and up to date, facilitating a rich search experience.
- Partner with marketing to build and execute marketing campaigns, curating collections, products, and digital assets.
- Ensure seasonal buying themes are represented in product groupings and site displays.
- Consistently review catalog status and report to ensure the Online Store is a creative reflection of Sporting Life’s full product assortment.
- Conduct daily quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and optimal user experience.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or E-Commerce
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a similar E-Commerce, UX or Marketing role.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Comfortable with HTML and Photoshop.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Expert knowledge of Google Analytics / AdWords.
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Knowledge of the retail environment is an asset.
- Bilingual - French and English preferred (spoken and written).
