We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), three large Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Applied Health Sciences and Advanced Health Care Practice and four Research Centres. The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students). **Responsibilities**: The Experiential Learning Coordinator (Partnerships) supports and oversees community based outreach activity to promote and create experiential learning opportunities for Health Science students, including collaborating with the School of Kinesiology and School of Health Studies to establish opportunities for work integrated learning opportunities, and to identify methods for assessment and reporting on outcomes. The Coordinator is a member of the Academic Programs department, and contributes to the student experience and career readiness of HFS graduates by sourcing meaningful, degree related opportunities. The Coordinator also maintains detailed records of all undergraduate placements through a comprehensive database and provides data for Faculty reports to enable strategic planning. This Coordinator works closely with the Student Experience Office, Research Western, and Western International to leverage their expertise and bring opportunities offered centrally to our students. **Qualifications**: - Education: - University Degree in Health Science, Business Administration, Social Science or other related field - Experience: - 3 years of related experience, preferably in the employment or recruitment industry, including sales, job searching, corporate recruiting of university students, and/or human resources - Experience managing client relationships with global and national corporate and community-based organizations - Experience with event planning - 2 years of experience working in a university environment, preferably with a student services background is preferred - Experience conducting market research, analysis and identification of target markets would be an asset - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization - Strong relationship development skills with proven ability to assess needs, problem solve, and recommend solutions to clients, both in person and on the telephone - Knowledge of relevant external partners with an ability to align their needs with the competencies of students in the program - Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve external and internal partner issues - Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion within tightly prescribed timelines - Ability to research and keep up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in the field - Strong knowledge of corporate recruiting, and knowledge of Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE) standards and guidelines for ethical recruitment preferred - Exceptional organizational skills, including managing multiple projects and an ability to adapt quickly to emerging priorities and adhere to timelines - Well-developed presentation and public-speaking skills - Basic understanding of experiential learning theory, principles and best practices - Effective meeting facilitation skills with multiple and varied stakeholders - Strong judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities **Western Values Diversity**: **Please Note**: Effective September 7, 2021, all employees and visitors to campus are required to comply with Western's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
