**Position Summary**
Nelson Lumber is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Accounts Receivable Specialist** to join our Edmonton Division. This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in administrative and accounting functions, particularly in accounts receivable. We’re looking for someone with a few years of relevant experience and confidence in their abilities.

**Responsibilities**
- Process, verify, and post receipts for goods and services rendered
- Research and resolve account discrepancies and billing issues
- Maintain accurate records of payments, account statuses, and transactions
- Collaborate on client accounts and repayment terms
- Handle clerical duties such as invoice preparation, payment reminders, data entry, and filing
- Contact clients to discuss their accounts and outstanding balances and collect payments or make acceptable payment arrangements
- Generate internal reports and financial statements as required
- Match, sort, and code invoices for receiving documents
- Post payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Maintain and organize customer files
- Perform month-end close procedures and reporting for accounts receivable
- Ensure invoice accuracy and inventory relief to sales
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including audits
- Make occasional bank runs for deposits or to replenish cash floats
- Produce monthly reconciliation reports such as GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced)
- Take ownership of assigned duties and collaborate effectively across departments
- Perform other administrative or ad hoc tasks as needed

**Qualifications**
- A few years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with AIMS and/or Epicor systems is considered an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
