Responsible for shipping and proper packaging of materials and goods in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and identification is included with all shipments. Receive all incoming customer parts verifying documentation and initiating evaluations. Parts to be shipped based on information provided by the sales order and dispatch note. All outbound/inbound shipments company wide.

**Responsibilities**

• Organize / prioritize daily shipments based on shipping calendar(s) and production meetings. Provide feedback regarding challenges to appropriate depts. and team lead.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is included with the shipment, including but not limited to:

• Certificates of compliance
• CUSMA (NAFTA) certificates
• Commercial invoice
• Canadian Export Reporting System CERS (B13 Certificate)
• Ensure shipping dates, courier and waybill number are updated in the appropriate sales order and dispatch note.
• Notify the selected courier / carrier of pick-up. Construction of shipping containers as required to ensure safe shipment of goods.
• Ensure proper paperwork is included with the receipt of customer parts and obtain any missing documents from the customer.
• Report via sales order notes to sales on condition of incoming parts packaging.
• Coordinate international, including overseas (B13), pick up times and shipping companies whenever required; verify that transport charges are properly applied according to the Sales Order.
• Responsible for requisitioning shipping materials with Junior Buyer. Ensure stock of packaging materials to support daily operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe & organized working environment. Responsible for daily maintenance of packaging equipment, tools and forklift.
• Notifying Shop Maintenance when support is required
• Work order scanning & packaging to support off site storage
• When required additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Team Leader, Senior Buyer, Inventory & Logistics or Supply Chain Manager

**Requirements**

**Academic Qualifications**

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must be a Certified forklift operator

**Training**

• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Syspro (a definite asset)
• Strong knowledge of shipping documents i.e., CUSMA, Commercial Invoice, CERS, etc.
• Online shipping software i.e., Fed Ex

**Experience**

• 5-7 years prior experience working in a shipping / receiving capacity with a proven ability to perform the listed responsibilities
• Experience with International shipping is a requirement

**Skills**

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have good attitude and possess strong communication and people skills
• Ability to adapt to change and able to multitask
• Must be dependable, organized, trustworthy and punctual
• Ability to construct various size crates and boxes
