Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments along with preparing items for shipment. The Shipper/Receiver also serves as an inventory control clerk by assuring proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prep outgoing and incoming shipments verifying count, weight, and other information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Allocate parts delivery routes and orders for the Parts Delivery Drivers and assist Parts Delivery Drivers with loading and unloading truck.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments in parts department and warehouse.
- Direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
- Maintain return records for cores and parts to verify credits being issued to customers.
- Assist Parts Inventory Manager in processing stock orders.
- Work with accounting department to match up purchase orders and invoices.
- Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory and participate in inventory count.
- Take messages for Parts Counter people and Parts Manager when they are unable to answer the phone.
- Generate reports as necessary on computer.
- Keep parts department and warehouse clean and organized.
- Occasionally fill in as a Parts Delivery Driver when the need arises.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
