Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. The Program Officer serves a key role in supporting the goals and outcomes of the Early Childhood Education project. Those goals include promoting high-quality curriculum and learning materials, assisting with the assembly of those materials, and maintaining strong relations with faculty, staff, and external contractors. As an employee of SIIT, this position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission and mandate.
The Program Officer is accountable for assisting in coordinating and managing project and program activities in the Curriculum & Learning Department on the Early Childhood Education project. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in technology functions; uploading to a learning management system; editing of documents, both digital and paper-based; and administrative and project management functions. The Program Officer will maintain the registration process for the Early Childhood Education webinar series, including sending pre-webinar materials when necessary and registration links. The Program Officer will assist with smooth, coordinated, and efficient curriculum department operations and support other department members in curriculum, project, data collection, and reporting activities.
