Audio Visual Technician

The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and servicing audio visual systems in connection with the Fantasyland Hotel banquet and conference rooms. The Audio Visual Technician will working in a unique and dynamic environment handling a variety of corporate events, weddings, holiday gatherings and more.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Operating and testing daily functionality of all AV and integrated conference rooms.
- Performing routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors microphones speakers’ amplifiers & LCD/Plasma Displays.
- Performing preventative maintenance to resolve problems.
- Troubleshooting AV/V problems as required as well as non-critical situations
- Setup and breakdown of all onsite meetings.
- Daily system testing to ensure equipment and room functionality.
- Ensuring all AVS spaces are presentable for use.
- Monitoring events and checking in on customers throughout the day.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
- Meeting with guests on-site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is functioning properly.
- Other duties as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- 1 year of experience handling audio and visual equipment in a similar role, with demonstrated working knowledge of AV practices and procedures.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Creative approach to finding solutions for clients.
- Collaborative in working closely with the Manager of Event Technology.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability for days, evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
