**Technician for Audio, Video & Security**

Karlen Kada is a multi-trade service provider that safely delivers high quality life safety services, integration systems along with mechanical and electrical solutions. With over 50 years of experience in the industry we are a go to service provider for the northern Alberta region. We are looking for an inspired, motivated and reliable _**Audio, Video, Security technician**_ to grow with us.

**Responsibilities**:

- Office work including managing paperwork, assisting in quotations and creating and invoicing jobs.
- Field work including installation and service of commercial low voltage systems such as intercom/PA, sound, CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control, A/V, etc..
- Training the customer on all systems
- Provide customer tech support
- Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies
- Minimum of 5 years successful experience in the installation and service in the commercial/institutional intercom (apartment, schools, hospitals), audio (DSPs, amps, speaker systems), video (displays and walls), and security (CCTV, alarms, access control) industry.
- Highly motivated and success driven.
- High degree of self-discipline and able to work independently.
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to run conduit an asset.
- Must be willing to become certified in specific systems and to hone their knowledge and skills as required.
- Computer/IT experience.
- Networking experience an asset.
- Good English in oral and written communication skills.
- Self-Motivation with good organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain appropriate licenses required by national, provincial and local codes.
- Must be able to pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening if required.
- Demonstrated ability to train less knowledgeable technicians or customers.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

- Experience with TOA, Dukane, Peavey, Mircom, Harding, Samsung, DSC, RBH equipment

Compensation will be based on experience. A company vehicle is provided with this position.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
