We know that the job of a chef is not limited to food. It takes skill, dedication, patience, and the right opportunities. We are looking for a Chef Manager who can help us deliver the best customer service and culinary experiences. Reporting to the General Manager, you will take a hands-on approach by focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol and customer relations. Our Chief Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute programs provided by the company.

- The focus is on the administrative side, there is more management than cooking involved, although both are necessary._

**Bilingual (English and French, Spanish is a plus)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Train and manage kitchen staff and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities.
- Estimate food consumption and make food requests or purchases.
- Select and create recipes, as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards and forecast and price menus.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment as well as safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer cooking classes and/or demonstrate cooking techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- Position requiring two to three years of experience in a related role.
- Position requiring two to three years of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Degree in culinary field desirable
- Position requiring experiential knowledge of people and/or problem management.
- Position requiring advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of the food-related profession.
- Position requiring oral communication skills in reading and writing.

**Bilingual (English and French, Spanish is a plus)**
