Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree in archaeology, anthropology (or in progress), or a related field. Cover letters must demonstrate how education in a related field is an acceptable equivalent.

+ Must support the management of projects from the proposal phase to report completion, including coordination of multidisciplinary teams to successfully execute project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

+ 2 years of relevant experience

+ Pre-contact and historic artifact cataloguing experience.

+ Experience with field effort tracking
- i.e. collection and management of all field data

+ Experience completing archaeological reports in compliance with the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries' (MHSTCI) standards.

+ Familiarity with the MHSTCI's archaeology and heritage online portal (Past Portal).

+ Firm understanding of the MHSTCI's Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.

+ Experience preparing and implementing field health and safety materials.

+ Valid Research or Professional class license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport

+ Demonstrated ability to coordinate logistics for multiple field teams

+ Complete projects within client’s scope/budget/schedule expectations.

+ Ability to coordinate with subcontractors.

+ Attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Ability to work as part of a team and independently
