**Job Summary**: This position is intended to help Inlailawatash become an industry leader in the provision of environmental services. Inlailawatash has established a strong reputation for successful delivery of environmental, landscape, and Environmental Protection initiatives and is looking to expand these services going forward.

The Project Coordinator will work with Inlailawatash management to:

- Support the coordination and management of established environmental projects within the Ecosystem Services program.
- Assist in developing new project and business opportunities to support continued growth. Prepare comprehensive bids for new projects including cost estimates.
- Assist Ecosystem Services Technicians with field activities such as environmental monitoring, restoration planting, or invasive species removal, as required.
- Provide support and assistance to other Inlailawatash departments, including Vegetation Management and Forestry, as required.

This position combines office and field-based work. Field work will occasionally include travel and overnight stays, with the potential for overtime or work outside of regular hours.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Work collaboratively with Inlailawatash management to manage and coordinate all key aspects of the Ecosystem Services Business Unit and assist in coordinating and managing various natural resource projects, including:

- Engaging and working with clients and project partners.
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors.
- Coordinating logistics and supervising project fieldwork, including on site project and safety supervision.
- Assist with field work as required, in both urban and remote field settings.
- Monitoring project quality and performance, writing up project summaries and reports.
- Identify new project opportunities, develop and submit project bid responses and proposals.
- Work collaboratively with project partners and associates to identify and develop new partnership and capacity building opportunities.
- Provide support and assistance to other program areas as directed by the Ecosystem Services Manager.
- Provide general office and administrative support.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Education/Experience_
- An undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Ecological Restoration, or related field, and at least three years of relevant work experience, or a graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Interest in First Nations cultural and environmental values and environmental stewardship is essential; past work with First Nations is considered an asset.
- Relevant industry or professional experience (such as environmental consulting/services, natural resource management).
- Experience coordinating/managing projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental mitigation and protection planning measures.
- Experience working as part of a team in an environmental / natural resource-based environment.
- Valid BC driver’s license and ability to operate a wide range of equipment and machinery including but not limited to: ATVs, trailers, and 4X4 trucks. Willing and able to travel by boat.
- Level 1 First Aid preferred, but not essential (training provided).
- Technical Skills_
- Strong planning and organizational skills, detail oriented.
- Strong awareness of the importance of safety, with the ability to develop, implement and manage safety protocols and procedures in coordination with work crews.
- Knowledge in and experience of Project Management considered an asset.
- Excellent oral and digital communication skills with a demonstrated ability to produce plans, reports, and other written products.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Numeracy skills (for example, developing cost estimates, analysis and reporting of project performance against budget) considered an asset.
