Bookkeeper (Part-time)

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Utilize accounting software such as SAGE 50 to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Complete reports as required including payroll reports, Board reports, income statement balance sheets and departmental budget reports as required
- Ensure compliance with local, and federal regulations related to finance and accounting
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and their families, other staff, supervisors, and the public
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
**Experience**
- Diploma in Bookkeeping or related field of study from a recognized university or college, or a combination of education, training and experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, familiarity with Sage is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and payroll processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially excel)
- Possess a clear Venerable Sector Criminal Records Check
