**Position Description**:
**Position Description**
Based within the SickKids Research Institute (RI), we are looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join our team in supporting transformational and world-class research at one of the top paediatric health-care centres in the world. As the Administrative Coordinator, you will play a direct role in planning, developing, organizing, and coordinating the administration and operations related to the Research Training Centre (RTC). The SickKids RI is committed to supporting all staff in their pursuit of knowledge and championing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
You will work in collaboration with the Program Coordinator, Program Manager, Senior Manager and Associate Chief, Research Training Centre, in the day-to-day operations.
**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:
- Represent and promote the SickKids Research Training Centre (RTC) with enthusiasm and energy, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Collect and input accurate, high-quality database and registry information relevant to Research Institute trainees and Research Training Centre activities and evaluation.
- Maintain the Research Training Centre internally and externally facing websites, ensuring they are fresh, vibrant, relevant, maximizing use of graphics, sourcing relevant information, seeking out and linking to resources. Co-develop new web content if appropriate.
- Prepare and maintain timetables for trainee programs and events, advertise and facilitate participant bookings via Eventbrite, arrange room bookings, AV, and catering, and distribute and collate post-event surveys.
- Coordinate working and advisory group meetings, including venue bookings, recording meeting action items, initiating, and tracking their follow-up.
- Support and communicate numerous Research Training Centre policies and procedures.
- Support financial tasks related to the operations of the Research Training Centre.
- Assist with the Research Associate appointment process, working alongside the Program Coordinator and Associate Chief.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations for procedural and work-flow efficiencies including technology solutions (e.g., REDCap *internal).
- Support the Program Manager, Senior Manager and Associate Chief on ad-hoc initiatives as required.
**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma, or equivalent level of professional experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, dynamic environment; and work confidently under the pressure of tight deadlines.
- Possesses a high level¿of judgment, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in interacting with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and tact; ability and willingness to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to problem solve and deal effectively with multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.
- Highly proactive, persuasive, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Experience with data collection, data management, and database maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products - Outlook, Excel; PowerPoint; Word; Access, Acrobat, SharePoint, Mailchimp.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience utilizing data to compile reports and write documentation.
- Creative, self-motivated, and ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative.
- Prior experience in an academic and/or educational and/or training setting preferred.
- Experience in branding, marketing, and social media skills an asset.
