Warehouse Lead

Overview:
ScanDesigns is a family run Furniture Retail in British Columbia. We are looking for a Warehouse Lead at our distribution center to look after 1 of 2 roles. The first being a team lead in charge of our delivery program and a second role focused on shipping and receiving and inventory management. Both roles require general warehouse experience and requires a motivated individual to oversee daily warehouse operations and support the efficient flow of goods in our distribution center with guidence from our warehouse manager.

One role can be Monday to Friday 730-4pm and the other is Tuesday to Saturday 730-4pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Warehouse Manager in supervising daily warehouse activities, including receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely processing of purchase orders and deliveries to customers and other company locations.
- Work closely with the Product Team to address vendor shipments and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Communicate any shipment discrepancies or problems promptly to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards by all warehouse team members.
- Accurately pick, fill, scan, and pack transfer orders for delivery or shipment.
- Aid in loading and unloading transfer orders using manual methods or pallet jacks.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate freight pick-ups as needed.
- Report daily operational issues and events to the Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy and organization.
- Foster a collaborative team environment within the warehouse through strong leadership skills.
- Assist in evaluating and mentoring warehouse personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

**Skills**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center; experience in furniture or appliance distribution is advantageous.
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50lbs and move objects exceeding 100lbs using appropriate equipment.
- Proficient in physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, pushing/pulling carts, and operating pallet jacks.
- Strong accountability, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in computer systems such as Microsoft Office; quick learner for new programs.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
