**Summary of Responsibilities and Performance**: The Shipper/Receiver delivers a high standard of service in accordance with our agreements and core values. Supporting a team of warehouse staff offering best-in-class performance and service standards. Needs to be able to operate with limited supervision. In this role, you would be expected to ensure productivity and eliminate downtime to ensure we are able to safely package materials, perform work in a safe environment - reducing potential injury or waste of product. You will be required to monitor production levels to meet demand - with limited delay in getting quality products to our customers on time. This includes - with guidance from the Senior Manager, Production and Manager, Warehouse & Procurement. The Shipper/Receiver works collaboratively with all departments in all regions/ departments to coordinate shipping and receiving of all deliveries, inventory levels, and all logistics involved with shipping and receiving raw materials, equipment, parts, etc., You know how to pack a pallet and ensure DOT requirements are adhered to. Role Responsibilities - all parts of your busy day: - Become knowledgeable about our business and the industry. Embrace learning, change, and growth. - Manage the daily performance and coordinate the warehouse team's activities to safely operation warehouse equipment and flawlessly package product into packaged goods. Set the team up for success in their roles while limiting the need for re-pouring or running out of available product. - Be accountable for shipping and receiving - ensuring optimization and efficiency to keep costs low without negatively impacting the customer experiencing. - Triage packaging requirements with other warehouse duties. Keeping the warehouse team motivated and performing at their peak. - Willingness to assist others in completing their daily tasks. Never leave a team member without support. - Cross-train shipping/ receiving tasks for back-up as needed. - Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure systems are efficient and effective. Always with safety and customer experience are forefront in all decisions. - Become an expert using our internal software and systems. - Be relentlessly resourceful and never stop improving service for our customers while improving labour efficiencies. - Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to. That paperwork and documentation is complete, reviewed for accuracy, and submitted in set timelines. - Ensure that our third party providers - i.e., delivery services - are representing BBSpro well, and that they adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). - Collaborate with the Finance and Operation Teams to design, develop and implement improved inventory measures. - Collaborate with other departments on ways to improve processes to deliver a consistent, extraordinary customer experience. - Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts for internal transfers. Work with Operation Managers for shipping and receiving of parts. - Prioritize the safety of our employees and customers. - Lead by example and take on other responsibilities as required. Have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help where needed. - Maintain equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, through daily inspections. Always be willing "to get something down" for others as needed. - Be our champion to keep the warehouse clean and clutter free. Skills and Qualifications: - 5+ years of work experience - competent in logistics, shipping & receiving. - Trained and certified forklift operator - sit-down and stand-up models an asset. - Excellent collaborator and communicator in written and verbal form - Proficient with Dangerous Goods Transportation, WHMIS, and chemical classification requirements - Knowledge of warewash and complex liquid system parts an asset - Proficiency using basic technology platforms - i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, etc., - Extremely versatile and dedicated to efficient productivity. - Passionate about being part of a team and being the connector that helps makes it happen. - Flexibility and positive mindset - having a Yes, I Can approach is key.
