Cultural Programming Administrative Coordinator

As an affiliate of the Manitoba Métis Federation, the Louis Riel Institute (LRI) is responsible to the Métis people of Manitoba to provide programs, resources and services related to education and culture.
The Louis Riel Institute seeks to fill one Full-time, Cultural Programming Administrative Coordinator position located in Winnipeg, MB.
**Cultural Programming Administrative Coordinator**
The Cultural Programming Administrative Coordinator is expected to maintain daily operations, and administrative duties of the program. The Cultural Programming Administrative Coordinator is required to manage and coordinate enrollment and attendance of a variety of programs offered by the Cultural Programming Department. In addition, the Cultural Programming Administrative Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative support services, ranging from complex to routine activities.
**_Job Duties/Competencies: _**
- Provide administrative support to the LRI Cultural Programming Department
- Answer/screen general inquires from the public and provide information related to resources, presentations and workshops
- Archive and organize files
- Draft, type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents
- Assist in scheduling meetings and booking facilities.
- Take transcribe, and edit minutes
- Attend conferences and workshops as directed
- Develop and administer record management systems
- Coordinate with other departments and organizations regarding programming
- Maintains accurate information regarding programming offered.
- Assists in the design of forms, brochures, posters and other marketing and promotional material.
**_Skills and Qualifications: _**
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Completion of a two-year office administration diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in an administrative support services roll
- Comfortable working collaboratively and independently
- Minimum five years’ experience as a Program Coordinator or relevant position
- Experience creating and maintaining filing systems including both hard copy and electronic files
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Metis culture
- Knowledge of LRI & MMF programs and services
- Acceptable Criminal Records check and Child Abuse Registry check
- Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine
**Salary**: From $35,100.00 per year
