The Opportunity

KPMG's National Global Mobility team is looking for a Process Improvement and Operations/Automation Specialist to support the Operations Manager in all operational matters for the Global Mobility team. You will assist in implementing and operationalizing the team’s programs and processes and implementing the Global Mobility technology & automation road map including development, execution and continuous improvement of the finance, vendor, and operational team processes. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing multiple operational processes, coordinating key stakeholder relationships, and exploring efficiencies across the team.

The Global Mobility Team is responsible for mobilizing our people virtually, nationally, and globally in support of the firm’s Talent agenda while ensuring the firm’s compliance in moving people across borders. Our focus is creating a positive employee experience for our people while working with our stakeholders to assess & manage the complex compliance requirements of our programs.

One of our key accountabilities is supporting KPMG’s GO program. The GO program is KPMG’s international assignment program where we facilitate the movement of our people on short-term and long-term assignments to KPMG offices around the world. The team also supports all international and domestic relocations for the Canadian firm and assists with Canadian immigration and permanent residency matters.

What you will do:

- Contributes to Global Mobility’s priority of Advancing HR Technology, Automation & Analytics
- Supports the implementation of the Global Mobility technology and automation road map
- Works with the Operations Manager to create & maintain resources and tools to support the Talent Attraction team
- Supports the development and implementation of processes that are efficient and effective to maintain good practices and corporate standards
- Responsible for ensuring all team documentation (SOPs, Knowledge Base, HR intranet) are updated regularly
- Responsible for supporting the offshore team on their current processes, and identifying new processes to train and move to the team
- Implements solutions to streamline processes & improve efficiencies
- Reviews, audits, and processes all vendor invoices
- Responsible for invoices to/from KPMG member firms
- Reviews vendor processes for efficiencies
- Responsible for ongoing and adhoc reporting
- Participates on & supports team projects and initiatives
- Prepares social security and expatriate health insurance reconciliations
- Updates and maintains Global Mobility promotional materials
- Prepares overtime and minimum wage calculations for short-term GO inbound program
- Works with Operations Manager to ensure Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable are up to date
- Interacts with stakeholders and global mobility counterparts at global member firms in regard to applicable policies and legislation.

What you bring to this role:

- Post-secondary education ( Diploma or Degree) in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management/ Coordination or Operations
- Demonstrated experience in supporting projects, coordinating with multiple stakholders and assiting with process improvement/ implementation and automation initiatives
- Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
- Strong analytic and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
- Handles confidential information professionally and discreetly
- Superior attention to detail.
- Knowledge of global mobility and Canadian immigration an asset
