Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Labourer located at its Vancouver sugar refinery.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
You will perform routine packaging line assembly as well as clean and sanitize line work stations/areas. Your strong work ethic and can-do attitude are enhanced by the flexibility to work three rotating shifts on a weekly basis.
**RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment
- Check and weigh materials and products
- Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
- Assist Machine Operators, Assemblers and other workers
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Perform other labouring and elemental activities
- Operate powered pallet/straddle jacks
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
Fast paced environment; repetitive tasks for varying durations; handling heavy loads (25kgs); physically demanding at times; manual dexterity needed; attention to detail; hand-eye coordination; standing for extended periods; work can involve crouching, lifting, walking and turning with varying weights.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
- Grade 12 graduate or equivalent
- Heavy industry; shift work.
- Must speak and understand English
**IN RETURN YOU CAN EXPECT**:
- Above average pay currently starting at $23.05/hour reaching maximum pay after 4 years which is currently $32.93/hour
