**About the role**

**Requirements**:
**What you’ll do here**:

- **Team Leadership and Management**- Oversee and mentor a team of IT professionals
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and manage team performance
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- **Operational Support**- Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems critical to our transportation and logistics business
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and security
- Provide technical support and problem-solving for complex issues
- **Project Management**- Lead the implementation of a new Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects aligned with business objectives
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- **Strategic Planning**- Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements and cost savings
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
- **Vendor Management**- Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers
- Ensure service level agreements are met and maintain positive vendor relationships
- **Security and Compliance**- Implement and maintain robust IT security measures
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT management roles
- Strong knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with TMS implementations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or relevant technical certifications are a plus

**What you bring to the table**:

- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and network systems
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and logistics software
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with cloud technologies and SaaS platforms
- Strong budgeting and resource allocation skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
