Golf Course Maintenance Grounds Crew

**Main Purpose of the Job**:
The Golf Course Maintenance Grounds Crew are responsible for the day-to-day duties that keep the course and property in excellent condition. Duties include operating equipment and vehicles used for property maintenance, gathering/removing debris, grooming bunkers, mowing, line-trimming, and sodding.
This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with mínimal supervision and interact with members and guests at a high-level. Provides exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and contributes to a positive and healthy club culture through professionalism and positivity.
**Reports to**:
Golf Course Maintenance Grounds Crew Chief
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Interact daily with club members and guests on the golf course in a professional and cordial manner ensuring a positive rapport between golfers and maintenance staff.
- Operate hand mowing equipment such as line trimmers, push and self-propelled walk mowers
- Operate gasoline, diesel and electric utility vehicles and other maintenance equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintain sand bunkers with hand tools, such as rakes and shovels.
- Hand water assigned areas of the golf course using hoses and sprinklers
- Daily debris and garbage collection throughout the golf resort
- Report any equipment problems or failures to the Assistant Superintendent, Mechanic and/or Supervisor immediately
- Clean, detail and return all equipment and tools to designated areas daily
- Execute all duties, tasks and assignments as instructed by the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent/Crew Chief
- Use digital time clock daily to electronically record work shifts
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Protection Policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- No experience necessary, training will be provided
- Driver’s license preferred
- Ability to operate various motorized vehicles (with training)
- Ability to work all shifts including early mornings, weekends and holidays
- Working outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform in a face paced, physically demanding environment
- Prior grounds maintenance experience an asset but not required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
