**Job Title**: Seasonal Grounds Crew

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team. All skills required are trainable, a successful applicant will be able to demonstrate reliability, good work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills.

**Job description**:
The Seasonal Grounds Crew position is responsible for working with other full-time and seasonal staff to perform all aspects of garden and grounds maintenance throughout the cemetery, and assist with interment duties as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform all tasks related to the maintenance of flower and shrub beds throughout the property including: preparing, planting, watering, fertilizing, and weeding beds as required/necessary.
- Perform all aspects of general grounds maintenance including: grass cutting, string trimming, debris removal, gardening, pruning, garbage removal and other related tasks.
- Assist with the setting, maintenance, and installation of memorials and foundations.
- Assist with interment duties including: digging full-sized and cremation graves, setting up for interment services and cleaning up after interment services.
- Perform all aspects of cemetery lot maintenance including: sodding, seeding, top-dressing, and leveling low areas.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Equipment Used**:

- Hand tools and equipment, including but not limited to: assorted shovels, rakes, pry-bars, hammers, screw drivers, and other similar and/or related equipment.
- Hand held power tools including: drills, circular saws, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, water pumps and other similar and/or related equipment.
- Commercial ride on lawn maintenance and landscaping equipment including: tractors, zero turn mowers, and related equipment such as dump or utility trailers.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting on equipment driven over rough terrain is expected.
- Prolonged periods of bending, walking, kneeling, stooping, and other related motions are expected.
- Lifting of cemetery products and landscaping materials and/or related tools and equipment such as: sod, soil, bricks, memorials, grave dressing lowering devices and/or other similar/related is expected.

**Education**:

- Highschool Diploma.

**Work Experience**:

- Any grounds keeping or manual labour will be considered an asset.

**Job Type**:Full-time seasonal, 40 hours a week expected (not guaranteed).

**Contract Length**: 7 Months (Approximately May - November)

**Pay**:Starting at $17.20/Hour

**Additional Pay**:Overtime after 40 hours/week.

**Schedule**:
8 hour shift (8am-4:30pm)

Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday (Alternating shifts)

Overtime may be required

**Work Location**:In person (Lindsay, ON)

**Expected Start Date**:Beginning of May
