Marketing Communications Coordinator

**Position Description**:
Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team as we promote our members, initiatives, programs, events, and resources within the Centre Wellington business community. In this role, you will strategically develop marketing collateral, manage campaigns, and oversee the organization’s social media presence.
**Responsibilities**:
- Communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner
- Creating materials to promote events, programs and initiatives consistently across all promotion channels including Constant Contact and website communications
- Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
- Tracking communications engagement and develop strategies to modify content and design based on data
- Performing other duties when needed
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education, preferably in communications, marketing or social media, or related fields;
- 2+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
- Experience creating visual assets for digital publication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience copy writing and proofreading
- Experience with Google My Business, Canva, & Constant Contact would be considered an assets
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Prior experience in marketing or social media, including planning and managing content in a professional setting
- A strong work ethic, professionalism and integrity with the ability to successfully work collaboratively and on multiple projects with mínimal supervision
- Passionate about creating engaging content
- Knowledge of local business community would be considered an asset
**Work Environment**
- The Chamber’s hours of operation typically take place Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, operating a 37.5-hour work week. This role is 0.8 FTE, working 30 hours per week.
- The Chamber team is currently working a hybrid model (time both in office and working remotely).
